Company Trip - Phuket

There are some pictures I will really love to share here, these are some that I took during the cruise when we were stopping at Phuket for a day. =)

I've been to Phuket during 2009, it was really a memorable one, although we went there during the wrong season, when it was raining and the beach was rough, but then still we enjoyed it, at least I did, and it was a happy one.
These are some of the pictures taken during last year's visit, when I was there to watch one of the famous show

This year, I was back at the same beach, but a different group of lovelies, different feelings...
It was during the afternoon when we left the mother ship to Phuket Island...
Besides only open fire in games like left 4 dead, Karen, Fresh and I just have to follow the boys (Tim Tiah, Nic Chay and Firdy) to do the real thing, I am proud that I have fired a shot gun, and it was freaking awesome!
After some really good massage, we then pamper ourselves with the beautiful sunset

And gotten some real tiny crab as hair pin - Ok we didn't kill it, it's just so fascinating to have this little small creatures on your palms, then soon on your head...
Something that everyone will wanna do when they are at the beach - Jumpshots

By night time, we met up with the rest of the nuffies, some of them were letting go their wishes to the dark sky, which this small little lights lightened the sky slightly, pretty.
Back to the ship for dinner, and really, the ship from far was just pretty, classy and elegant, which I couldn't believe that I was going back to that classy huge thing.

It was really pretty, everything was, the ambiance, the people...

I was thinking a lot during the cruise trip, I don't know is it because of the whole atmosphere feeding me sentimental thoughts or it's just me, but I do enjoy every moment of the trip, it was really one awesome trip I have had so far in my life.

I will visit Phuket again, one day...
I will be back!

Company Trip

It's been a week since I was back from the cruise, and I still miss every moment when I was with the Nuffies.
You know sometimes places you go, it very much depending on the the attraction and experience that a place can provide, and another important fact is that, the people who you are going with, and the Nuffies are just simply awesome. =)

Let me quickly summarize some of the happenings during the trip:
We were late ad we almost missed our ship, yes almost miss the ship, not a bus wtf, the captain was asking why were we late and saying that we only have 2 minutes to get everything registered because the registration counter was closed like 15 minutes ago! *press the panic button*
A bit blur because we are so late and while entering the ship, some of the nuffies are still lining up...
But well, I can't imagine if we will all be left at the port there fml, finally everyone got up the ship and there everything happens here!
Michelle and me, camwhoring on the ship
Some of the female Nuffies (Like beauty pageant wtf)

The lazy judges

We played an ice breaking game - 2 truths and 1 lie
My 3 sentences was :
1. I was in a basketball team during secondary school
2. I kissed a girl
3. I hate horror movies

Now you guys, lets see if you know which one is a LIE. =D

You know what, out of so many days, the first day was the only day it wasn't raining in the evening, and we get to see the sun set, so beautiful that I wanna cry (Ok just kidding on the crying part but it was really pretty)

At this moment, my mind was just blank while I look into this beautiful view, the earth is just amazing, and breath taking...
There is a rainbow behind us!
The wind was just so strong that you can actually feel it blowing on your face, something when you do skydiving, but of course the impact is lesser.
So I decided maybe the girls should do something like this, and here are some of my favourite shots.

Let your hair down, and feel the freedom
After the hair blowing scene, we went for dinner, and it's what you call fine dinning.

Food was good and everything was really nice, which you will forget you are on a ship, it feels more like a mall not until you walk to the outside and feel the sea breeze again.
Look like a mall right?
Till then, I shall continue my next post where the ship stops at Phuket!
Anyone of you haven't been on a cruise, please you have to go, and stop thinking about what happen to Poseidon and Titanic!

Shine When It's Dark

Still in the office, working while waiting to go for dinner...

I have a blank mind now, or I just have too many in mind which makes me felt that it's blank, you know those when you can imagine have hundreds or thousands of flash card flashing in front of your eyes, that you don't even have the time to properly what was the image and you have to move on to the next one? Ended up you will be as blur as it is, and don't know what was it all about.

What's life without up or down right, but make sure when 'down' is here to greet you, welcome them with your open arms, because you won't know 'up' might be following 'down' closely from behind, so if you choose to ignore 'down', you will missed 'up' too...

I guessed it applies the same to what if life is always that good, without seeing the dark side, we never know how bright is bright, how dark is dark, to strike a balance, these 2 comes in a combo, to make sure you see things clearly.

Try this, if the sun is shining too bright, you know that kind of brightness where you can't even see what's surrounding you? Put on you shades and there, you can see clearly whats on your left and right already.
A little bit of dark makes you see clearer, don't you agree?

When is the brightness going to shine on me? Soon I guess...

Me?

I don't know...
It seems alright at first, now it seems weird...
It's either I clearly know what I actually wanted, or it's just me fated to be like this...

Lightning? How long can it last? End like a lightning too?

Good Morning Sunday

**Random Update**
Had a good company these 2 days because I got a room mate with me - Elise Tay, one of the Singapore nuffie came down to KL to eat.pray.love. =P

I am sure we did gave her many to eat, plenty of love, but pray, okay not sure if I should bring her to a temple before she goes back to Singapore later in the afternoon. =P

Will be taking plenty of pictures before she leaves, so shall update again!

Besides that, there were quite a lot of happenings this week, feels like it's been the longest week and it felt like a year, everything seems to move just too fast within a week, not a bad thing. =)

Till then, I think I put on quite a lot of weight, you know why?

Because I have been having dessert lately, and I wasn't a dessert person before, things change. >.<
(Was having 2 ice creams at once while chilling with Jenhan and Kim weeks ago)

Am I the eating monster now?

Shall end with a quote :
Everything has beauty, but not everyone sees it."  ~ Confucius

Counting By Marbles

This is quite a long story, but if you have the patient to read it, I guess you will gain something today. =)
I was cleaning my room when my cupboard was attacked by the termites, I found this really old newspaper clipping, the date was 2nd November 2003, a 7 years old story which I kept it long enough, to again remind me how much I shall treasure things in life and not let regrets take over when you have little time left on earth, so I thought I would want to share with you, who are reading my blog now.

The older I get, the more I enjoy Saturday mornings. Perhaps it's the quiet solitude that comes with being the first one to rise, or maybe it's the unbounded joy of not having to be at work. Either way, the first few hours of Saturday morning are most enjoyable. A few weeks ago, I was shuffling towards the kitchen with a teaming cup of coffee in hand and the morning paper in the other hand. What began as a typical Saturday morning turned into one of those lessons that life seems to hand you from time to time.

I turned the volume up on my radio in order to listen to a Saturday morning talk show. I heard an older sounding chap with a golden voice. You know the kind like he should be in the broadcasting industry.

He was talking about 'a thousand marbles' to someone named 'Tom'. I was intrigued and sat down to listen to what he had to say.

"Well Tom, it sure sounds like you're busy with your job. I'm sure they pay you well but it's a shame you have to be away from home and your family so much. Hard to believe young fellow should have to wok 60 or 70 hours a week to make ends meet, Too bad you missed your daughter's dance recital.
He continued, " Let me tell you something, Tom : Something that has helped me keep a good respective on my own priorities."

And that's when he began to explain his theory of a 'Thousand marbles."

"You see, I sat down one day and did a little arithmetic. The average person person lives about 75 years. I know, some live more and some less, but on average, folks live about 75 years old.
Now then, I multiplied 75 times 52 and I came up with 3,900 which is the number of Saturdays that the average person has in their entire life.
It took me until I was 55 years old to think about all this in any detail and by the time I had lived through over twenty-eight hundred Saturdays, I got to thinking that if I lived to be 75, I only had a thousand of them left to enjoy.
So I went to a toy store and bought every single marble they had, having ended up visiting 3 toy stores to round up 1,000 marbles, I took them home and put them inside of a large, clear plastic container right here next to the radio. Every Saturday since then, I have taken one marble out and thrown it away.
I found that by watching the marbles diminish, I focused more on the really important things in life. There is nothing like watching your time here on earth run out to help you get your priorities straight.
Now let me tell you one last thing before I sign off with you and take my family out for a breakfast. This morning I took the very last marble out of the container. I figure if I make it until next Saturday then I have been given a little extra time. And the one thing we can all use is a little more time."

You could have heard a pin drop when he finished. Even the show's moderator didn't have anything to say for a few moments. I guess he gave us all a lot to think about.
I had planned to do some work that morning and go to the gym. Instead I went upstairs and woke my wife up with a kiss and ask her out for a breakfast. "What brought this on?" She asked with a smile.
"Oh nothing honey, it's just been a long time since we spent a Saturday together with the kids. Hey can we stop by a toy store later? I need to buy some marbles..."

I was only 18 years old when I read this article, and I knew I have to keep it by pinning this on my little DIY board in my old house. I still remembered after reading this, I actually went to both my parents and read it out loud to them when they were having breakfast, I never felt how inspiring my Saturday morning was, and now I still feels the same after reading it every time, something to keep us thinking how limited time we have on earth, and how much we can really do when we are still young, and never too late to realize the priorities in life you have once set.

I hope you felt the same way like I do after reading this entry, if you think you want to share it with your friends, spread the love.
Till then, cheers and have a great Sunday morning. ^^

The Road Not Taken

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both

And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim
Because it was grassy and wanted wear,
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I marked the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way
I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I,
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

-Robert Frost-

How many of us actually took the road less traveled? How many of us actually gotten the courage to risk in chasing dreams? If you were given the chance, will you do it for yourself?
Chances are not given by anyone but yourself, we create our own opportunity and go for it, I believe in that, and you?

Watching myself in 10 years time, and see if I already took a big step and being happy that I chose to chase my dreams instead of playing safe.

We'll see...

Stealing

My dad was just sharing a story about all this snatch thieves and robbery happening so often now, that being a girl walking on a street is just a disadvantage (there goes my courage to tell him what I planned to do...)

Was thinking about you snatch thieves and robbers, I wonder how you feel stealing things from people who are not prepared for you coming, you snatch and made your victim fall thus hurting themselves.

I wonder, do you feel good keeping things that once belongs NOT to you but someone else? I hope you really feel insecure and paranoid about everything, that soon someone will just knock on your door and claim back the things you took from them.

I actually pity that you have to live your life in the dark and being paranoid all the time.

Good Night Monday

Been sleeping late these few weeks, not staying up on purpose, but just don't realize that time flies...
Another week has begun, and the second day of the week has ended, how fast... T_T

Skin getting really bad these days, and I am putting on weight like no one's business...
I need some exercise, but I just don't have the time, or the energy to go after working hours, or even weekends, I want to go cycling though, last time I used to go Bukit Cahaya to cycle and I do remember how interesting the insects were, they were HUGE! Reminded me of that spider that I spotted in my brother's room, which I thought it was from the freaking dinosaur age, long skinny legs, with an oval body, until now I can still picture it in my mind, damn creepy. (FYI I am okay with all kinds of insects but not arachnid)

Going off for a short break this week, let's hope I will loose some weight when I am back to KL and not putting on more...
Also early greetings to my fellow Hindu friends, Happy Deepavali!
Till then, I shall visit SPCA soon since it's so near my place. =)

You My Friend

Met up with an old friend on Friday night, it was good to see him again, but knowing him that long, he must have a lot of things that he wanted to share, it was an unhappy experience for him.

To You :
When things happen, there will be a majority of  people spreading rumours and start to judge on the situation, be it the fact that these people might not even know you, they are just simply listening and judging from a third party, do accept the fact that message being passed through so many channels, it somehow will be different from what the real situation was.

This world is just like that, human beings are just like that, some don't even bother asking and just accept what others say, so what you going to do about it? Go to all these people one by one and explain to them? No, you don't need to do that, and simply just let it be, soon or later when some other things caught their attention, they will forget what was yours.

I am sorry for what she had done to you, and I know a moment of anger can create so much trouble, but then again, it's okay to have mistakes, but to never repeat them again, if we don't have any mistakes in life, we will never know what's right or wrong, mistakes is part of chapters in our life, and if life is just perfect, what is the meaning of perfect at the end of the day?

Yes she could be the one masking it and telling everyone a different story, which is unfair to you, but then again, you have to remember when someone finds out one day the truth is not what she was telling, she will going to have her own judgement day, but let's not nail that image in head and hoping it to happen, life goes on, and these are just possibly the 1%  of your 100% life, so why let the small number affect the big number you should be taking care of?

Come on now, someone else is definitely worth more your effort for all this, and no matter what, people who loves you and knows you well, they will always come back to you and ask for the truth and not being judgmental, even if you were wrong and it was really a mistake, I am sure it doesn't affect them to accept the truth and accept who you are.

You are an engineer, you should be good in numbers, let me put it this way :
Estimating we have 6,878,400,000 human beings on earth, and you might only have 5 real friends for life, the math should be like this for your pie chart in life.

1% = 6,878,399,995
99% = 5

You got us to support you, in any ways. =)

Forgiveness does not change the past, but it
does enlarge the future.

Life's A Movie

Looking at someone else, is like watching a movie, movie of his/her life.
We are all actors in our own life, I don't quite agree if we are also the director of our life, if we are, we should have known what is going to happen next, with full script and storyline in hand, all prepared.

Sometimes when you focus too much on the details, you don't see what is happening on the outside.
Step back a few steps, and look into the big picture with many other details, things can be easier.

When you are watching other people's movie, do you know you are being watch too?

I miss the days where you can just be anyone you want.

Wedding

My parents attended this wedding yesterday night while I was at Hennessy Artistry.
They brought home the wedding door gifts, which makes me go aww...

Usually what we get will be the usual chocolates in heart shapes, which wrap nicely in cute little small boxes, but for this one, I noticed the difference and uniqueness. =)

It was these 2 little cute tiny bottles of honey, something very simple, but yet unique.
The message on the bottle is just right

Something to consider in life, people will remember you in your own unique way, you don't need to change because someone ask you to, because no one knows you better than yourself.

Record Breaking

Seriously, those who has been friends with me for quite some time, will know that I can just fall asleep within minutes, yes seriously.
I don't really have the difficulty in falling asleep, but just not my luck to sleep peacefully throughout the night.

I have to do this because I myself find it hilarious, that if I were him, I will probably think this girl is just 'amazing' in her own ways... T_T
To Poor Friend : I am sorry! It's a bad idea to go online while you are lying down, it's really a bad idea for me... T_______T

This is the day I passed out without me knowing that the crime scene was captured! >.<

Back To School

Remember the days when we carry heavy school bags, wait for the school bus, and wear the same thing everyday, that was not so fun, until I studied in my uni, and I think it was more fun for those who actually gotten the chance to study overseas - Thats what I wanted to do but well I don't have the chance back then. =)

I always wanted to go back to my previous uni to visit my lecturers, but yes I just didn't have the time yet.
But one thing is that, no matter how long you have been working already, once you step foot in a college without the formal attire, naturally you will feel like a student again, do you?

Well I was at Taylor's Lakeside for G+ meeting and Churpchurp fly kite day! The first thing that came across my mind when I stepped in the college - "Omg you young brats are just damn lucky right? Whoever who is studying there now, you are enjoying every moment  man!"

Lecture hall was seriously huge and all equipment was just talking about technology, like seriously...
It makes me really wanna go back to uni and study again.
If you don't like looking at your lecturer, you can shift your sight to the beautiful lake right behind the piece of solid glass, nice? It is...
Students wannabe

And after class, we went fly kite with the blue round bird!

This is my first time flying a real kite, I remember I used to DIY my own kite, like just tying a string to a pink plastic bag and it will just fly, those were the days when I was only a primary student, and now kids get to have kites that some cost you more than RM50, lucky lucky lucky...

Number 1 thing is to have a nice proper kite that will never let you down.
Number 2 thing of course with a big compound for you to run and make the kite touch the sky

Should go fly kite again someday although it was tiring, oh you know what, at Taylor's Lakeside, you have Starbucks and Baskin Robbins, really seriously you lucky student!!!

Next I was thinking I should go visit FRIM Kepong. =)

Have you had your Oktoberfest?

Friday nights are not meant to end early, because Fridays are meant to be a celebration of a new beginning of a weekend!

What do I usually do when it comes to Friday night? Well back to my boring days, I will just skip every single  after work activities and go home, but after much realizing about life, I should do things more than just going home and sleep, and one of the things that I did with my fellow colleagues was having some chill time at the Oktoberfest last week Friday, yea you hear me right, it was at Souled Out, some of you might be there but well we just didn’t see each other.

And talking about the crowd? It was crazy!

Seriously if you are a beer person, you won’t want to miss the 1 liter mug with Tiger beer in it, and yea I love beer that leaves a layer of white mustache on your upper lips, and hell no kidding, the mug is just one really collectable item you can show your grandson how was the Oktoberfest back then, means the mug is freaking solid and you can use it as a weapon of defense.
Now you see, the mug on the right looks like a beer float, try it with ice cream next time, and I will be the 1st one to gulp everything. =D (And go home like a human size walking tomato)

The last time I tried gulping everything in one shot (Don’t do that although it is only RM50 per 1 liter of Tiger beer, and yes you get to keep the mug, but still..), I ended up spending most of my time in the washroom trying to get the devil out of me, so lesson learnt: Beer is for drinking, can be faster than sipping red wine, but not gulping everything at one shot, that’s call wastage, or for people like me, we call it the suicide case.

That is one HUGE mug and yes Huai Bin here you go, if I were to finish just half the mug, I guess I will be way redder than him.

Nothing beats spending some quality time with the Nuffies, and here is one of my favourite shot with Yuen –She is almost single and available, for more information you can send in your CV and let’s see if she gives you a green stamp.
(We call her Ah Chan, I don’t know why but well, everyone does have nicknames, what was yours?)

Also here are some of the nuffies who were there that night.
I wasn’t working but just turning on my laptop to charge my phone, just to clarify, I am not so much of a workaholic, am I? (Michelle, Pinky, and Nic Gan)

Wikipedia told me that Oktoberfest is known to have the largest crowd in the world, let’s make it happen in Malaysia!

Enjoyed most of the happenings there, the company, the food, the copious amounts of Tiger beer, and of course, you can’t miss a chicken dance from an Oktoberfest!

The tune is still kinda stuck in my head, till then; let’s go for the next Oktoberfest! =)
If you don't know much about Oktoberfest, time to do some research before you head to one!

Dear Santa,

I am making an early wish here, can I have them in front of my door step when you visit me?
Oh please I will get you a faster reindeer so you can be here early before December, but make sure you wear short pants and singlet, it's hot here in Malaysia!

My Wish List :
